Gnaural
on the Mac
I don't personally have access to a Macintosh, or know anything about
programming them. But some research for my Mac friends as to how they
might be able to port (or maybe even just compile?) Gnaural
turns up the following possiblities (as of 1/2006):
- Try building Gnaural on a
Mac XWindow port (on which GTK+ should be able to run natively). On
that front, these links might be useful:
- Try building Gnaural with
one of the new GTK+ ports for Mac (these don't seem done-enough yet,
but I don't have a way to really explore them. Long range, they are the
best answer). Here are some of the links to look at:
- Try building Gnaural on a
true Linux distro that runs natively on Mac hardware (Debian, Ubuntu,
etc.), then test to see if the executable produced will run on one of
the "Linux LiveCDs" that anybody with a Mac can effortlessly boot from.
(This approach is a total hack, but interesting to me because it
explores the idea that Gnaural could be distributed on a LiveCD).
